The Rottnest Foundation
The Rottnest Foundation was founded in 1985. Their mission is to conserve the unique environmental and cultural assets of Rottnest Island by encouraging community involvement and raising funds to support projects that 'Conserve the essence of Rottnest'.  The Rottnest Foundation chairs the Wadjemup Walk Trail Steering Group Committee, which meets every three months and consists of representatives from volunteer groups and the land manager, the Rottnest Island Authority. RVGA have two representatives on this committee.

This Steering Group has been formed to collaboratively manage the 'Wadjemup Walk Trail' project, to allow an avenue to openly discuss ideas to progress the project and ensure that volunteer involvement is maximised and utilised.  The Rottnest Foundation is currently focusing on raising funds to build the next section of the Wadjemup Walk Trail. Please contact the Rottnest Foundation's Grants & Sponsorship Coordinator, Rosalie Small on 0447 85 3820 if you require further information.
The RVGA is proud to be supporting the Wadjemup Walk Trail Project. The RVGA has launched a guided tour of the Lakes Section of the Trail which is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the April, July and October Western Australian school holiday periods.  The walk is also available to corporate groups by special request at other times.  The RVGA also hopes to develop further activities linked to the Wadjemup Walk Trail in the future.
